Crepigma
Product Details
Story: I was working on this piece, I felt that every crack, every fracture in the material held a secret. The uneven surfaces, the layers that rise and overlap, are for me like pages of a story that is never fully told: they speak a language where things break without falling apart, where silent transformations take place beneath the surface.
The gold that emerges in different areas feels like a precious presence, a discreet light that reveals and highlights what the material does not dare to say openly. It seems to illuminate the fragile places, not to conceal them but to show their worth.
The title came to me almost on its own: Crepigma, the crack that is not merely a rupture, but an enigma. In this work, I wanted to protect the intimacy of what is hidden, the quiet strength of what reveals itself only partially. A piece that speaks softly, yet reaches deep.

Artist
Karin Lanini Arthofer
Swiss-born, now London-based artist Karin Lanini Arthofen’s works are a natural and spontaneous manifestation of contemporary and abstract fine arts that fit seamlessly into modern and classical settings. Her organic creations transcend rationality, offering a sensory experience that resonates with the emotions, perceptions, and essence of every viewer.
STYLE: Karin fearlessly explores different mediums, such as clay for sculptures, filler, marble dust, plaster, and other strange and sometimes incompatible organic materials, which are not perceived as limitations, but rather as tools to harness and channel a fluid creative energy into her masterpieces
